Principal's Message

Ms. Beltran's Welcome

Dear TPA Families:

Technology Preparatory Academy I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to the 2018-2019 school year.

This school year our students will be involved in many exciting educational experiences.  Our students will have the opportunity to participate in computing related internships and learning opportunities. They will also be taking courses that may lead to Microsoft Certification or A+ Certification. These certifications will give our students the ability to obtain jobs in the business and computing world!

We would also like to take the time to share with you some very exciting school data! Last school year was a very successful year for our TPA school community.

  • 95% graduation rate for our 2018 senior class!
  • Our English Language Arts state SBAC test scores are the second highest in our local district!

65% of our students scored met or exceeded on the state’s English Language Arts SBAC exam. This makes us the school with the second highest score out of 15 high schools in the Northeast San Fernando Valley LAUSD cohort of schools.

  • 12 students participated in paid internships this summer

Students were able to get real world experience and apply skills learned at TPA in a variety of jobs throughout the city. One of our students was able to intern in our Board Member Kelly Gonez’s office where she learned valuable skills and experience.

We are excited about all the wonderful learning opportunities available for students at Technology Preparatory Academy and look forward to providing your child with an exceptional education that prepares them for college and many exciting careers in our global economy!

In closing, the staff of Technology Preparatory Academy is looking forward to working with you and your child.  It is an honor for us to serve the children and parents of our community.  We hope that the 2018-2019 school year will be a time of growth and learning for all members of our school family.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Beltran

Principal
